What role do you play in KCC?
I am the Global Executive Director, I lead the community and compassionate strategies for all our non profits.
What does compassion mean to you?
Compassion for me is a verb, it implies an action, it is that willingness to truly be able to help others, connect to others and understand that if we all care for each other we can truly change the world.
What inspired you to this type of work?
I became interested in this type of work since I was very young, both my grandfather and my mother worked with communities, transforming realities and understanding what communities really wanted and how to empower them to work towards their goals. This led me to study anthropology and learn more tools and strategies to work directly with the communities and the power they have to transform lives.
What is your hobby or passion?
I love reading and camping, connecting with nature and the outdoors and doing those with my family so that I can share that love for nature with my daughter.
What is your experience?
I am an anthropologist with a PhD in Urban and Public Policy. I have always worked in the non profit sector promoting community engagement and empowerment in different settings and bridging the gap between the public and private sector with the local communities.

What role do you play in KCC? I am the General Manager , I lead the community and compassionate strategies in the U.S and the Territories.
What does compassion mean to you?
Compassion means to me understanding that everyone has their lived experience and accepting them for who they are. It means embracing them, learning from them and them learning from you and bringing out the positive in everyone. Being able to help each other without expecting anything in return.
What inspired you to this type of work?
When you wake up every morning and love what you do it is not work. I have always had a passion for Health equity. I believe that no matter what your zip code is, family situation or social surroundings you should have access to quality healthcare. This is what brought me to Keralty Compassionate Communities. our model of care that centers individuals and empowers them to understand they do have the power to change their community and future health outcomes through
What is your hobby or passion?
My hobby is traveling and spending time with my family. We love going on adventures and learning new things.

I have a Political Science Major and a Masters in Business Administration. I began my career working with public policy on the Hill. Then I moved back to my hometown Miami and worked for a State Senator to continue my public policy work. After working in countless campaigns I decided to dedicate my life to Health related Non profits. I worked for Planned Parenthood for 13 years before coming to Keralty Compassionate Communities .

What role do you play in KCC?
At KCC, I drive Business Development and Communication, promoting community-based solutions like mindfulness and compassion training, implementing a community healthcare approach, and establishing Compassionate and Humanization Communities. My goal is to empower communities, fostering compassion and making a meaningful impact.
What does compassion mean to you?
Compassion, to me, is the deep sense of empathy and care we feel when we genuinely want the well-being of others. It's about understanding the suffering, pain, or challenges someone may be going through and being ready to help in some way, offering genuine support and assistance. It's all about spreading the love and being there for one another!
What inspired you to this type of work?
I believe that through my work, I can serve and contribute to making people feel how important they are and the mission of what they do. Coming from a family that values giving back, where serving others was a priority, I am inspired to carry forward this commitment. Our projects are rooted in compassion towards ourselves and the people around us. We impact people and communities, and that's the most beautiful thing. Practicing compassion, respect, and tolerance truly fuels my inspiration.
What is your hobby or passion?
Motorcycle riding is my passion. I enjoy the speed, feel the wind, and the excitement of discovering new places. The adventure of exploring diverse landscapes and encountering unexpected surprises along the way is what I love. For me, it's a way to reconnect with myself.
What is your experience? I
I worked at Procolombia, the Colombian Government's trade promotion agency. My role as a commercial advisor involved seeking opportunities for Colombian exporters to enter the U.S. market and promoting Colombia as an investment and health tourism destination. I help build strategies for enhanced collaboration between the U.S. and Colombia. Additionally, I served as a liaison between the Colombian government and communities, identifying needs and creating opportunities to address them.
